Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and hashed password.
• Business data you enter — organization details, ingredients, suppliers, recipes, production weeks, inventory, waste logs, and related records.
• Billing information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We store only your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, never full card numbers.
• Usage and technical data — basic logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Vendor directory enquiries — if you send a message to a business through our public vendor directory, the name, email address, phone number (if given) and message you submit, plus the time of the request.
• Vendor directory listings — business contact details (name, address, phone, website, email) about food businesses, obtained from publicly available and openly licensed data sources, from the businesses themselves, or from the FoodieManager customer who manages the listing.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, calculate costs and production plans from the data you enter, authenticate you, process subscriptions, send service-related email (such as team invitations and password resets), and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:

• Stripe — subscription billing.
• Our email provider — to deliver invitations and password-reset messages.
• Our hosting and database providers — to store and serve the application.

Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms and security commitments.

Vendor directory

We publish a directory of food businesses at foodiemanager.com/vendors. Listings are compiled from publicly available and openly licensed business data, created by the business, or edited by the FoodieManager customer who has claimed the listing. Listings describe businesses, not private individuals.

If you contact a business through the directory, we pass the details you submit to that business so it can reply to you, store the message in that business's FoodieManager account, and email it to the people who manage the account. The business decides how it uses your details from that point on, and its own privacy practices apply to any reply. We do not sell these details, and we do not add you to our marketing lists. We keep enquiries while the business's account is active, and we keep short-lived technical records (such as a rate-limiting counter) to prevent abuse of the form.

If you run a listed business, you can claim your listing to edit or correct it, turn off its enquiry form, or ask us to remove the listing entirely by emailing the address below.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a database access-controlled to your organization. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and session and reset tokens are stored hashed. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Some records are soft-deleted (retained but hidden) to preserve historical costing and reporting. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your choices

You can access and update most of your data directly in the app. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about this policy, at the contact address below.

Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it sets analytics cookies and shares usage data with Google. Analytics stays off until you accept in the cookie banner, and you can decline at any time. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
