This Privacy Policy explains what information FoodieManager ("we", "us") collects when you use foodiemanager.com and the FoodieManager application (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and hashed password.
- Business data you enter — organization details, ingredients, suppliers, recipes, production weeks, inventory, waste logs, and related records.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We store only your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, never full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data — basic logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, calculate costs and production plans from the data you enter, authenticate you, process subscriptions, send service-related email (such as team invitations and password resets), and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Stripe — subscription billing.
- Our email provider — to deliver invitations and password-reset messages.
- Our hosting and database providers — to store and serve the application.
Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms and security commitments.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a database access-controlled to your organization. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and session and reset tokens are stored hashed. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active. Some records are soft-deleted (retained but hidden) to preserve historical costing and reporting. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Your choices
You can access and update most of your data directly in the app. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about this policy, at the contact address below.
Cookies
We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
